MindWare 0.2.1 (Public Release)

I’m excited to share the public release of MindWare 0.2.1!

Password: (no longer needed. Supporter features are unlocked by signing in with Patreon or SubscribeStar inside the game, and the public build has never needed a password.)

What’s New:

This update focuses on expanding the story with Trix at The Hole. You’ll experience her band performance and the events that follow will bring you two closer than ever before.

Besides the new story content, I’ve gone through as many bug reports as possible (thank you for sending them!) and fixed a whole bunch of issues – I regret how many progression-breaking bugs there were, and I hope they’re all fixed now.

Many of these bugs were the result of my inconsistent work schedule, where I’d complete one part of the game, then not be able to continue working on it the next day. This led to issues where I’d forget to properly close quests or mark messages as read.

The good news is that I’ve finally established a regular daily development schedule! While I still need to balance this with my regular work, I believe I’ve found a sustainable pace. It’s now just a matter of maintaining this routine until it becomes second nature.

Changelog:

Version 0.2.1 (Public)

  • Fixed: VioletVixen quest progression.
  • Improved: Sleep Management in Extra Options.
  • Added: New location – The Hole.
  • Added: Trix band performance storyline.
  • Added: New minigame during Trix band performance storyline.

What’s Next:

Next week’s update will finish your interaction with Trix and expand some side activities in the game.

Thank you VERY MUCH for your support!

MindWareReleases

MindWare 0.2.0 (Public Release)

I’m excited to announce the public release of MindWare 0.2.0!

Changes From Previous Versions

For those who played MindWare a few months ago, you may notice that some content has been rearranged, some is new, and some is missing. This is intentional. I realized the direction I was heading would lead to gigantic scope issues and most likely stagnation. I needed to greatly reduce the scope and focus on the core of the game.

I’ve largely redone Chapter 1, putting the male-to-female transformation path front and center. I’ve also tweaked the gameplay loop to make it more linear. Previously, I was bothered by the fact that it was possible to read messages and display dialogs long after their creation, which made them not make much sense in context. I’ve now made these elements “mandatory,” which has made it significantly easier for me to create new content because I don’t have to account for nearly as many possible situations.

I believe this change helps when playing the game because there’s no anxiety about missing content or playing the game “correctly” – although it does make repeated playthroughs a bit more time-consuming.

The good news is that now that all core gameplay mechanics are done and I have found a direction I’m happy with, the need for new game starts when I release updates is much lower than before.

You might notice that the option to skip mini-games is missing in this public release. That’s because all mini-games have been optimized since the last public release, so I believe it’s fair to give the option to skip them only to paying supporters. Previously, the mini-games were full of bugs, so skipping them was often necessary to progress.

Looking Ahead

I really hope you’ll find this release enjoyable and bug-free. If you encounter any issues, please let me know. If you decide to become a paying supporter, you can also send me your save file, and I will do my best to fix it for you so you can continue.

Looking ahead, I can’t wait to finally dedicate most of my time to the game’s story. I have big plans for relationship storylines, with the one involving Trix being the main focus at the moment, but no character will be neglected. I’m also excited to progress with the player’s transformation, which will bring with it interesting twists and turns.

The next supporters-only release is planned for the end of this week (or Monday at the latest should something unexpected come up in my personal life), and public releases will happen on a monthly basis.

Thank you VERY MUCH for your support!

MindWareReleases

MindWare 0.1.7 Is Now Available

After a lot of work, all parts of MindWare are now compatible with mobile devices, and I can fully focus on the game’s story again. You can play it:

In addition to mobile compatibility, this release implements all core gameplay mechanics.

Once you have the Synapse Steady VX implant installed, anAVA’s interactive feminization dream will be semi-randomly triggered based on the sexuality variable:

  • ‘Depraved’: { base: 3, range: 1 }, // 2-3 days (very frequent dreams)
  • ‘Slutty’: { base: 4, range: 1 }, // 3-5 days (frequent dreams)
  • ‘Kinky’: { base: 6, range: 1 }, // 5-7 days (regular dreams)
  • ‘Uninhibited’: { base: 8, range: 1 }, // 7-9 days (less frequent)
  • ‘Open-minded’: { base: 10, range: 1 } // 9-11 days (rare dreams)

The dreams continue until you develop dysphoria (this feature will be fully implemented in the next release). Once dysphoric, your resistance to AVA becomes significantly weaker.

The sexuality variable represents your character’s openness to sexual experiences. You can increase it through various actions: placing yourself in sexually compromising situations, viewing erotic content in the web browser, visiting Glory Booths, or playing certain minigames like Latex Match Two.

Some sexual actions will only increase the variable if your current level isn’t too high. To progress beyond certain thresholds, more intense activities are required. The variable decreases by 1 point each day during sleep if you haven’t modified it.

Currently, the only way to increase sexuality is by searching for hentai images on the computer, but more options will be added in upcoming releases. However, don’t worry about this variable yet, as there’s currently no content locked behind sexuality levels.

Looking ahead, the next release will continue the story with a post-transformation therapy session—see you there next week!

Changelog:

  • Added text narration for Glory Booths.
  • Fixed navigation bug.
  • Replaced all instances of the resist minigame with new mobile-friendly version.
  • Match Two game is now mobile friendly.
  • Removed other games (I can’t justify the amount of time it would take me to make them work well on mobile devices since they serve no real purpose).
  • New version of Match Two added (to unlock it, you need to purchase the Latex version of the minigame and finish it with the Synapse Steady VX implant installed).
  • AVA’s feminization dreams can now be semi-randomly triggered during sleep.
  • Sexuality now decreases by -1 point every day unless you do something to increase or decrease it that day.
  • Sexual experience statistics are no longer displayed in the Character screen.
  • Hentai images in web browser now affect your sexuality (up to the point of you becoming slutty or depraved).
  • Fixed buggy button during first transition appointment.

MindWareReleases

MindWare 0.1.6 Is Now Available

I’m happy to announce the release of MindWare 0.1.6, the first version to feature a new mobile-friendly UI.

Play online: https://playmindware.com/

I’ve tested the new UI on iOS Safari, and it makes the game fairly nicely playable in my opinion. Of course, the larger your device is, the better the experience.

Because I wasn’t developing the game with mobile devices in mind until very recently, I had to disable some parts on mobile (some minigames and the games section in the player’s home).

I will eventually replace/update all minigames to be mobile-friendly (I’ve already developed a replacement minigame for the one that lets you resit AVA, but I still need to use it throughout the game), but it will be a gradual process as I want to dedicate as much of my time to writing the story as I can now that the UI is updated.

Speaking of the game’s story, I’ve made progress on the transformation quest, and it’s now technically possible to physically become more feminine. I’m aware that the transformation quest needs more love in terms of pacing and polish (the hospital currently doesn’t charge the player money, for example), and I plan to address these issues in future updates.

The only core gameplay change that I would like to implement sooner rather than later has to do with chat messages and some emails — but mostly chat messages.

Right now, the chat messages are written as if the chat happened right at the moment of the player receiving a notification message. As a result, the longer the player takes before they open the chat, the less sense the chat can make. I know that most of you open available chats as soon as they become available in the game, so I will save you a few clicks and open them automatically as soon as they become available. The chat app can then serve as an archive of past chats.

Changelog (beta versions + public release):

Releases

MindWare 0.0.8 Is Now Available

This update brings two main additions to the game:

  • S.I.M.S. pods
  • Optional ByteBunker hacking job

S.I.M.S. pods are located in EroSphere, and they are used by NeoUrbanians to experience everything from a relaxing virtual hike to a gangbang. For user safety, S.I.M.S. are categorized into levels based on their intensity. Right now, only four level 1 S.I.M.S. are implemented, but more are coming soon.

The ByteBunker hacking job was a lot of fun to create, and I encourage you take things slow and explore as you play it. The job becomes available during the second post-operation day and it remains available for the next 7 days. I have prepared a quick link in Changelog, so please take advantage of it.

For the next version, I will focus on making the VX implant functional, so that AVA can start showing up in the game properly.

Changelog:

  • Added sidebar settings (visible only when the right sidebar is visible).
  • Successful bruteforce now reveals the correct password.
  • Added anoptional hacking job. Becomes available on the second day of Chapter 1.
  • Added mobile compatibility warning.
  • Fixed empty space at the bottom of passages.

Releases

MindWare 0.0.7 Is Now Available

This update concludes the linear transition between Prologue and Chapter 1.

Now that most main systems are in place, I can resume work on the open part of the game, which is what Chapter 1 will be about.

I want to start with the EroSphere club, because I really enjoy working on it, and because it will play a role in at least one character’s storyline.

Speaking of character storylines, there will be multiple of them in Chapter 1, probably one for every character that has been introduced so far, but they won’t all be equally long or important. The gameplay will revolve around you continuing with your life, playing the character missions, and dealing with the consequences of your infection.

As you embark on these missions, your choices will significantly impact the narrative, leading to different outcomes based on how you manage relationships and confront challenges.

Note: All new story content in this version is completely linear, and there’s no reason to play the game from start to finish to experience it — just use the link in the game’s changelog.

Changelog:

  • Added a main story mission: GitGud Synapse Steady VX installation.
  • Tweaked dialog boxes.
  • Implemented right sidebar.
  • Slight changes to certain dialogs for better consistency.
  • Fixed a lot of minor bugs found using SugarValidator.
